Originally, I had meant for this to be a book review blog, but then I stopped reading. Even when I did read, it wasn’t anything other people weren’t reviewing. This blog has been sitting here for almost two years doing nothing, so let’s try something new.
Instead of JUST book reviews, why don’t I write about my new love – skincare? Sure, there are a bunch of other skin care review sites, but this will be through the eyes of that person who is like, “Hm, everyone likes this product and analyzes its ingredients, but this other one is pink so let’s get that.” I’m also still a novice when it comes to skincare, so it will be like some journey in finding oneself. Pretty much, I’m writing the kind of blog I wish I had when I was discovering Korean skincare.
Other topics may include anime reviews, album reviews, bitching and general blog posts.
This is a new beginning. A blog rescue. [Like Bar Rescue, except less yelling.]

This is a horrible book. It scared me. It thrilled me. It made me anxious. When I was done, if I hadn’t been sitting in a Barnes & Noble, I probably would have cried. It ruined my day.
This is the rating this book is getting:
“But Jezzy! You just said this book is horrible!”
Yes, random visitor who somehow knows my nickname, I did. If you click the “more” button, you’ll find out why this horrible book is getting a very coveted five stars out of five. Continue reading
Title: “Slice of Cherry”
Author: Dia Reeves

Genre: Young Adult, Horror
Okay, okay, so this is two and a half years old. Shoot me. I bought this the week it came out because I had failed to win an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this on Goodreads. I don’t really know what it was that drew me in. Maybe the teacups? Either way, after picking it up and putting it down multiple times over the course of two years, I finally finished it today.
This had been my first foray into the Young Adult range of books as an adult, and boy, was I ever surprised. I still remember reading this on a plane and cringing when Kit and Fancy started carving people up. The imagery was…yeichhh. I never thought that teenlit would have such violent descriptions. Duly noted. Let’s move on. Continue reading
So, the point of this blog is basically, “DOOD, WRITERS NEED PLATFORMZ AND STOOF. IF AGENTS SEE PPLZ LIKE J00, THEN YOU MORE LYKELY TO GET SHIGNED.”
What this means is that I’m going to post here whenever I feel like it, give reviews of books, try to keep up with the writing world, etc etc, and hopefully this platform thing will develop.
Oh, I guess this is also a good place to mention that I’m preparing to write my first novel. It has no title, and all I know is that it’s going to take a ton of research and revision, and of course writing. Maybe I can be helpful in some way.
For right now though, I have nothing to offer. Sorry.
Okay, fine. Here’s a Boston Terrier with a binky in its mouth.
